CHATTERBOX

Chatterbox is an excellent activity for developing both speaking and listening skills. Designed to be done in pairs, one person chooses a numbered box to open. They respond to this conversation starter and then pass it over to their partner. It is important to explain to the students that the boxes are there to help promote engaging discussions, and they should not aim to rush through them. The importance of asking follow-up questions is also something to point out.
